Factory method to create an unmodifiable buffer.

If the buffer passed in is already unmodifiable, it is returned.

Parameters:

buffer - the buffer to decorate, must not be null

Returns:

an unmodifiable Buffer

Throws:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException - if buffer is null
